Celebrating 32: family staycation at Rasa Sentosa

The kids and I were in for a treat when the husb brought us to the Rasa Sentosa Resort for a staycation! I have wonderful memories of our first family staycation there last year and have been meaning to go back again. This time round, the husb upgraded our room to the Terrace Sea View Room which has an extended balcony and ample space in the room for the kids.

The son wasted no time in getting himself comfortable – promptly sat himself on the lounge chair while we checked out the view from our room.

Since the kids weren’t going to take their naps, we decided to milk whatever energy they had left after conquering USS and headed over to the pool for some water play!

By the time we got to our seafood dinner place at RWS, the kids were running on empty tanks. The husb and I knew we had to get dinner over and done with ASAP before any meltdown occurs. We promptly stuffed food into their tummies and distracted them by getting them to look forward to Mommy’s birthday cake. They had been wanting to sing “Happy Birthday to Mommy” and were eyeing the cake ever since it was delivered when we checked into our room in the afternoon.

Had some pretty displays of mini fireworks (courtesy of Wings of Time!) to complement the birthday cake procedure.

As expected, my kids had no concept of sleeping in on holidays and gave us their usual morning call at 7am even though they were obviously tired out from a whole day of activities the day before!

At least the gorgeous view of sunrise from our hotel room made waking up early much more bearable.

The kids plonked themselves on the lounge chair to soak up the morning sun and view.
I must say, they truly know how to live it up!

Last year, both kids were still too young to feed themselves.
This year, they were having fun helping themselves to the food.

One thing I love about Rasa Sentosa was the proximity to the beach. It is literally steps away from the hotel!

Then we went for a dip to cool ourselves in the heat before heading back to our room for one last round of bath tub fun for the kids.

A family pic of us in our room before we checked out!

It’s been about three weeks since the staycation and the cub is still asking to go back. Makes us happy knowing that they enjoyed themselves as much as we did!
